Sweetbay Magnolia a Gentle Privacy Divider

Magnolias are typically considered a Southern landscape staple. Much less so in the Midwest as many of the Magnolias do not work in USDA Zone 5.

The Sweetbay Magnolia does well in the Midwest and still delivers the ‘Southern Look’.

Some people prefer the look of trimming them up as in the picture below, while others with plenty of yard space let it grow with full foliage.

Regardless how it is pruned, it delivers a potent punch of beautiful sweet scent and a tropical look.
