Privacy Tree Planting Mistakes
A few of the notables we have seen as we plant Green Giant Arborvitae Thujas & American Pillar Arborvitae around the Midwest:
- Not knowing where property boundary is and needing to replant a few days later or worse
- Planting the wrong tree (a row of Weeping Willows around the pool)
- Planting too close to an existing or future improvement
- Planting too close to septic tank
- Planting in flood area
- Panting in an area with no water access for irrigation
- Planting in an area with heavy density of utility lines marked by 811, but digging is still impossible
- Planting in an area where foundation of an old building runs
- Planting where an old road used to run
- Planting where huge tree stumps are in the way
- Planting where huge existing trees are in the way (lot of roots and shade)
The Right way to do it: a newly planted double row of Green Giant Arborvitae Thuja privacy trees protecting a home
